Hello,

If I make a large purchase with my Amex Delta Sky Miles and pay it right away will I stil get the miles?

Yes you would still get the miles.

Mine have not posted and I purchased something for around $1700 and paid it over 1 week ago.

Well, sometimes it takes longer than a week, such as first statement but the miles will show up.

Yes, you have to wait for the statement to print each month. Then the miles transfer to your Delta SkyMiles account.
