For most people the PRG is probably not worth it unless you send a lot. I don't know if the Arrival is a better travel card but if you feel that it is so be it but at the end of the day it is just a travel card. Whereas the PRG gives more flexiblity.
I do agree the AF's for Amex are high but they can get away with knowing that the average Amex user spend 2-3x more annually than a MC or Visa user. They definitely cater to different people. Your right though Amex is not accepted at as many places as the other to but they are still the largest credit issuer.
