AMEX payments take forever to post, but my available credit is normally updated to reflect the payment instantly...

+1@Ryan!
IMO Amex has the best payment system of anyone I have worked with!
+1. They immediately reflect the available credit too.
[edit: YaCW is quick]

I think Im going to go make a pmt right now haha :-P
I charged within 100.00 of the limit on my platinum Delta for the first two months and PIF after the statement cut, haven't used it yet since the last statement and just paid it off... 3X CLI time in 6 more days LOL
This is my first month with the Delta gold, and I have paid in full twice. I paid in full and didn't realize that 10.50 had not posted, so, when I noticed that it posted, I paid it. The day before my statement cut. Amex posted my payment immediately and my first statement cut with a zero balance -- before the money was even out of my checking acct. It isn't much, but I was impressed. Walmart posted a balance of 2.15 four days after I paid it...lol.

During the first month after you have setup your bank account you can't make more than one payment unless a payment is due. But you can push money to AMEX as much as you like from your bank account. I don't think they care. In fact some people that had hard limits were forced to make weekly if not daily payments to stay under the limit. Not sure how AMEX internal scoring system rates multiple payments. The one thing AMEX does hate is carying a balance on revolvers from month to month.
I don't see how that would make sense. So in other words Amex, a company known for charge cards, creates and issues revolvers, but god forbid if you carry a balance on a product designed to carry a balance. Now if you said Amex hates high balances, or multiple balances then maybe what you said would make more sense.
