QUICK QUESTION:

 

I have not recieved a welcome email about the approval. Is this normal? Should I request it?

I checked the application status page and it says Platinum Card is approved.

CapitalOne Platinum - $1500
Chase Freedom - $5000 Chase Southwest Premier - $3000
Discover More - $3700
Barclays US Airways - $1500
American Express Platinum, Gold PRG, and Zync - NPSL

If it says you're approved when you check your app status, then you're approved.  Don't worry about the email, sometimes they take awhile.  I think it was several days before I got mine on my recent Blue application.
