Had the Gold for a year --- then changed to Zync before the annual fee kicked in.  Just not worth for me. Got about 18000 points only thru purchases. Redeemed some purchases thru credit statements.  125 is too much for me.

Re: Amex Zync Or Gold?

Do you get the same access to entertainment with the Zync as you do with gold?

No, I think with the Zync you do get access to early entertainment but the Gold gets early acces and premium seating.

Re: Amex Zync Or Gold?

why not go for the green? The AF is waived the first year and you get almost all of the same benefits as the gold card with a 30.00 lower annual fee. I don't see much difference in benefit to justify the fee increase.

Re: Amex Zync Or Gold?

I think the fee for the gold is pretty steep, the Zync wil due for me until BCE next year!

Re: Amex Zync Or Gold?

The fee for the gold is steep for what you receive. The only differences aside from the colour are gold destinations which seem meh, and premium access to entertainment in which the tickets are good but also quite expensive. IMO this is not worth an additional 30.00 per year. You receive the exact same membership rewards points with the green and pretty much all the other supplemental benefits as well. I think most people get drawn in by the color, but when you look deeper there are not many reasons to choose it over the green. PR Gold and Platinum I can understand why they are 'better' but they also carry significantly higher annual fees.
