if anyone still has this card, or ended up closing it, how did you use your rewards points?
im coming up on having the card for two years, i cant pc it and it obviously comes with the $25 af.
im debating just closing it.
i decided to sd not that i couldnt handle a "charge card" just rather not be tempted to spend on it to avoid having a cash shortage. and spending less.
i have about 11k points saved up and dont know what to do with them.
any suggestions?

Open an amex everyday card, or another charge card (get the signup bonus) and then your MRe (Membership Rewards Express) points will turn into regular MR Points.
I'd keep the zync just to have it.
to my knowledge i cant get approved for anything else becuase i have the zync.
a rep actually told me that as well.
if i get added to my parents card as an au and then transfer them the points?

JSUCool76 would know for sure but I'm pretty sure that's not the case. Amex CSRs notoriously give out bad info. You wouldn't be able to transfer your points to your parents as Amex only allows transfer to spouse/partners

Don't think you can transfer like that. for like 7500 avios you can get a super short haul one way trip on a oneworld airline. Maybe look into that then transfer em to BA before they kill the amex transfer ratio

It depends what kind of Zync you have. If you have one of the restricted Zyncs, then no, you cannot get any other AmEx cards. My Zync was my first card with AmEx, and I still have it today. I've been approved for the Delta Gold/BCE, SPG, Platinum, and EDP over the years with my Zync card. But, it is the unrestricted version with a very high exposure limit.
I won't ever part with my Zync card; however, I would strongly consider doing so if it was keeping me from other AmEx cards.

I'd wait to transfer them to BA to just before the nerf on Oct 1 to see if they have a transfer bonus again. They're doing that now for Canadian Amex holders so hopefully something will be offered here as well.
