Well for an update I called amex on my costco card and asked if amex offers any apr reductions promotions at any time, the rep told me at this time no, but to call back as if they do offer it from time to time I wonder if this is actually true?

just remember the 0% APR is usually a trap with Amex. low balances doesn't matter, but high balances for more than 3 months puts you in risk of CLD
