Re: Amex and 4506-T Form

For those that have gone through this process for a CLI, how long does it take for them to render a dcision after getting the form back to them?

Re: Amex and 4506-T Form

Would you know how many days/weeks/months it would take for Amex to receive the documents from the IRS?

When I did it (which I now regret) I think the whole process, from Amex sending me the form to result was about 3 weeks, maybe a little less.  But YMMV.

Generally around 10 business days. You can call every few days just to see if they're done processing.

Re: Amex and 4506-T Form

Hello all. Sorry for the late update as I just came back from my long vacation. Amex approved my 3x CLI on Oct 13, 2013 bringing my BSP limit from the initial 2K to 6K. Also, DSC auto-CLI me from 5K to 7800!

Thanks guys for all your suggestions. Smiley Happy

Re: Amex and 4506-T Form

Many companies outsource employment and income verification with The Work Number. Which happens to be a part of the Equifax company.

At a guess, perhaps American Express couldn't verify you via that route, and thats why you are asked to fill out the irs form, when others are not asked.

So, its probably not a big deal.
