Amex and Experian

Comments on the board seem to indicate that Amex pulls Experian. If Experian is frozen, will they pull another bureau or simply decline the app?

Good question. They pulled my EQ. Why not just call the 1-800 # and ask?

I have asked that before and even the credit analust said that they didnt know what the system would pull. So I wouldn't be too set on AMEX pulling exclusively EX

But doesnt hurt to give them a call. At least you won't get peggy on the other end Smiley Happy

Re: Amex and Experian

Would AmEx want you to grant them access to EX? Do CCCs/their analysts wonder why the freeze?

Current Score: EQ 741 12/2011, EX 730 08/15 (PSECU), TU08 710 08/15

AMEX will only pull TU and EQ if your EX report is near border-line bad. Not sure what happens if you freeze it.

Discover it (07/2012) | AMEX BCP (09/2012) | TD/Target REDCard (10/2012) | Chase Ink Classic (11/2012)
BofA BBR (04/2013) | FNBO/Overstock.com (02/2014) | Barclaycard Arrival (04/2014) | FIA/Fidelity AMEX (04/2014)

My EX had more baddies when I applied and my EX FICO was about 25 points lower thant my TU and EQ. They still only pulled EX (it wasn't frozen)

When I got my Zync my history is pretty thin, so they pulled TU and EQ as well. Instant approved online.

CS, did you get a charge or revolver? It seems AmEx will usually only pull EX for charge, but may pull others in addition for revolvers.

Starting Score: EQ 681 5/2011, EX 656 6/2011 (PSECU), TU98 642 6/2011
