Thanks to everyone on this site I have had great success.
Hopefully the following will be of some help to others as well.
It had been years since I had a credit card and was rebuilding from scratch starting in January of 2012.
At the time of application I had eight months of good credit with Cap1 secured Platinum card with a $2100 credit limit.
I kept the usage below 10% and paid in full every month.
I had no loans or Mortgage payments.
I applied for the Amex Zync and their BCE at the same time and was approved for the two cards with just one Hard Pull .
The Zync was immediate approval and the BCE said i would be notified in 10 to 14 days.
When I checked the next day on Amex Site i was approved for the BCE as well.
Amex backdated my cards to 1983. The CSR for Amex was great .
At the time of Amex application:
My Fico score from Experian as reported by Amex was 730
My Fico score from this Site were TU 725 & EQ 745

CONGRATS!!!
Did you get your BCE CL??
Major congrats on the 1 pull double score! (Not everyone gets that even when apping the same day!).
Wish I could have done it, but I had to wait for my Blue after several months with Zync (sigh), so 1 HP each. Still happy I got them either way
Only $1,000 on the BCE
I Guess I will request a CLI in a few months after keeping the usage under 10%
(baby steps)

MOST CERTAINLY! AWesome job on your hard work. it seems like it paid off
Two 29 year old accounts figured into your AAofA? I think you will like that. With AMEX the CL will come. Just treat them with respect.
