we look at it more as a way to open doors to bigger limits at other banks. honestly the amex cards get the lowest usage. chase cards have better perks in my opinion. the only amex that got some serious usage was the costco card for obvious reasons. heh.
But how high a limit do you really need (with Amex and the other banks). Here, people seem to want big CLs for the sake of having them, rather than any specific need.
I dont think the CLI request ever went through. Nothing came in the mail or happened. Will likely try for the 100k again in a couple months, if not approved will get a new card and combine eventually...
For some reason I was thinking $50k was the highest revolving limit counted on scoring but maybe I just think I heard that and didn't or they have changed!
