Has anyone started to receive Pack Credits? I received a $5 credit for the Eco Pack. Its been a few months, but I'm positive the Eco Pack didn't have an associated fee.I received the $5 credit for the Eco Pack as well, and I know it didn't have a fee. Maybe it's more of a goodwill kind of thing?
Same here ~ I got a $5 eco pack credit. I'm certain that this was one of the free packs, so it must be a GW credit.
This boosted my available credit on my $200 Hard Limit Zync up to $205. Sweet !!!
I still use my zync loyally. Have yet to encounter anyone else that has it.

I still remember when it debuted with waived annual fee for first year + 10K MR bonus on first spend. I thought it was one of the best Amex cards when used propery. The initial restaurant pack had $5 gift cards to Coldstone, Dunkin Donuts, and a few other places; but, the best was the $50 Morton's card after spending $150. Eco pack combined with dining conferred 3X MR points at tons of places, not to mention this was the *only* card that offered 2X spending at Costco.
I surmise the issue with Amex was that the "target" market didn't app or use the card, but their "regular" cardmembers starting using the the card for accelererated MR points earnings cannibalizing some of their spending on their regular Charge cards. Not very profitable when a person *only* spends on the bonus, then stops immediately at $5K and using only the packs with GC reimbursements.
I intended to keep the Zync as my primary spending card (and pair it with a Platinum for true MR points). Now that packs are gone, I may as well app for a PRG card and move most spending towards that. The Packs were very useful.
I also think that because the underwriting was so loose for the card that perhaps they got burned a lot.

This could be a possibility, but given how rare the card was and how little they promoted it, it seems unlikely. Maybe defaults as a percentage of cardholders were higher, but the card was likely Amex's least issued (outside of the Centurion maybe)

Right, and without the packs, the Zync is kind of useless. It's basically the Blue with an annual fee with no option to carry a balance.
I got a $5 ECO pack credit too! Yay! My two last dunkin donuts coffee purchases were free!!!!!!!
When the ZYNC was available, it was not promoted here in NYC (at least I did not noticed). The PATH train to NJ (via World Trade Center) had/has billboards for Amex Green, Gold and Platinum, but NEVER the Zync. I have taken that train to NJ for the past two years, and nothing. I never heard of it until I visted this forum a little under a year ago.
Probably the best way to recognize a myfico member...the white amex.
