Yes, this is why I regret going through the hassle of getting the Penfed card and the taking HP. If you're filling up your tank and go inside to buy a 40oz for the drive home, no 5% for you on that. Gas stations also sell iTunes cards for the kids, Subway cards, sometimes pizzas cheaper&better than the chains, all kinds of stuff you need. The Fort Knox card is 10x better.
Once I tried to buy $7-10 of gas twice in one day in different towns (one was for the mower) and Penfed declined the second transaction. Can't buy a small amount of gas twice in one day, what the heck? Fort Knox is where it's at.
