I'm still trying to get over seeing the words "Amex" and "girlfriend" in the same sentence. That can be a dangerous combination!
Amex doesn't even go external if your credit score is not high enough to be approved for the product. Your real time credit score is available to them at all times.
The CLI was the system automatically upgrading your CL because your score raised, it had nothing to do with your application(s).

I'm not sure that I understand what you're saying here. What "real time score" is available to Amex at all times? And, are you saying that based on a FICO score (or some other score???) alone that Amex grants auto credit line increases?
