Amex is now converting Green, Blue Cash cards to EMV

I'm using the BCP until it goes totally clear, LOL!

At first it was a no go on my Gold, but the agent put me on hold after I mentioned many had it done. He talked to someone else, and the other person did the EMV upgrade for him. I guess he had no clue what he was doing.
He said I was not eligible at first, but it was just that he didnt know how to do it

My advice....hang up and try again with someone else

Agree...if u get a csr not informed about it say others have done it w same card. Had to mention it to csr yesterday for my prg

What's all the big fuss with EMV about? Do you guys go to Europe a lot? Is there an immediate benefit to having the EMV chip that I'm not aware of?

It allows the NSA to read your brainwaves when you are purchasing (and they give some of the data to Amex for their FRs).  Not sure if that is an immediate benefit or not.

+1 Agree. I have tried many credit cards (all closed now) but this was my favorite. I would reapply for it in an heartbeat.
