For those of you that think Amex doesn't like cardholders to use their card for everyday expenses, this should dispel that notion.

I just logged onto my Amex account (Amex Gold Rewards) and found the following offer:

Now through March 15, 2010, make every trip to the store or the pump count twice. Enroll now so you can start earning double Membership Rewards® points on virtually every dollar you spend on gas and groceries.

 The only limitation is 1000/mo. Seemed like a no-brainer to me so I signed up.

The amex hilton HHonors Surpass is doing 6 pts per dollar on gas and groceries, 9 at hilton properties, 3 everywhere else. It never ends. plus you get 40k points on opening.
