Offers are just marketing.  Don't rely on them.  If you need/want a cash back card then apply for a cash back card.  As indicated above, not getting an offer on something doesn't necessarily mean that you're not qualified for it.  It just means that they're not marketing it.

There is no such thing.  Everyone always needs to consider their own specific criteria when card shopping.  100K doesn't mean that once should ditch one's due diligence and apply.  For example MR points are of no use to me which is why I have no MR cards.  Never simply assume that what works for you works for everyone -- not just with cards but on any topic.

I don't see any possible scenario in the credit card world where I won't take the 100k points. It's just... Too valuable.
