I've heard Delta Gold is easiest. Why is one of your scores lower?? I got approved for BCE with a 696 tu, 688 eq, and a 703 exp plus. I have high income, one fraud co from '08, 12% util, 3 yrs aaoa, $30k stud loans debt, 10 inqs in two years (only like two in the six mos prior to apping). I am 23 btw. I'd be scared to app for an Amex if I were you. I think a 700 is borderline approval, and they would pull all reports and deny you based on that lowest score. Otoh, I was scared to app when I apped for mine haha. I also have about $91k in rev. credit lines as of today! Good luck!!!!
Score isn't everything, but I don't think 700 is borderline, especially for the Delta cards. I don't recall exactly what scores typically get approved for Delta, but I would have thought it was more like 680 or possibly below.
should that be amex plus scores or fico scores? as seen my scores are 715 across the board for amex + scores but are high 690's for ficos.
plan on apping for true earnings or bce or both in feb.
aaoa will be a year plus i already have zync.

i didn't say score is everything! It is a fact that certain scores will get you auto denied. My experience of having them pull all of my reports indicates that my scores were borderline .... Either barely above 680 or barely below 700. It should be actual ficos. I think the Amex Plus score is the same as the Experian Plus score... Someone correct me in a nice, civil manner if I'm incorrect.
Not what I meant. Score isn't everything wasn't directed specifically at you. I was just commenting on the 700 score you quoted. I should have been more clear. Not all 700 scores or 680 scores or any scores are created equal. If you have a relatively thin file but have a 700 FICO score, don't be surprised if Amex doesn't accept your app. But I would expect someone with a fairly long history, no recent negatives, and a 700 score should sail right through. I could be wrong (OP I'm talking about FICO scores here).
OP, your prior history with Zync should also count for something. You're asking about BCE and Costco though. I have no idea about the approval criteria for those cards.
No idea about Amex and Experian Plus scores.
ETA: just realized it was not the OP that asked about FICO or FAKO, and mentioned he had the Zync.
oh okay, gotcha. That's why I listed my other stats to give the OP an idea.... Walt.. do you have any Amexs? You should tell the op your stats at time of approval...l did see today that someone apped for BCP and Delta.. got a $2k limit on BCE and a $5k limit on Delta... so that seems like higher limits might be possible with the same score? I just know it took me FOREVER to get that damn BCE. FINALLY AT 23, I HAVE A TRUE AMEX! haha.
:-D
my Fico is 662 but my Experian plus score 715 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 so confuse.................
I have the PRG, SPG, and Platinum card. Here's my info:
I applied for PRG in October 2010. At the time, my EQ FICO was 653 or something like that. It may actually have been worse. I'd have to dig through old posts to find out. It's one of my first few posts. The short version as to why I even applied with that score was that I had just changed jobs and my new job did not have a company credit card, so I needed something to put travel expenses on. If I had been denied, I would have been looking at a secured card.
As to how my reports looked, I was probably at an AAoA around 8-9 years. Oldest account was 13 years. My reports were pretty clean except for a 6 month period in 2008 where I was without work. I had 7 accounts that went late, a couple of them getting up to 150 days, including my mortgage. But thankfully, I got back to work before anything was charged off or sent to collections. At the time of the app, several major late payments were almost, but not quite, two years old. HOWEVER, what I did not know at the time was that my EX FICO was probably closer to 700. That's because a couple of my accounts with late payments are not on my EX report. I don't know for sure that EX was 700, but once my EQ got to ~700 a couple months later, I was getting ready for a mortgage app and got my EX FICO. It was ~750 at the time, so I am assuming that I actually had a much better EX FICO when I was approved.
In April of 2011, I applied for the SPG card. I was instantly approved. EQ was somewhere between 700-710 at the time, TU was probably around 720, EX around 750. Again, it's hard to remember and I'd have to dig through old posts. Initial CL was $19.6K. I have a fairly good HHI, and I put a fair amount of spend through my PRG because I have a decent amount of reimburseable business travel. I'm guessing that had something to do with my initial CL.
I upgraded the PRG to the Platinum card at some point, but now I can't remember when. 8 months ago? That was in response to a targeted offer to get 50K MR points for upgrading. Scores were about the same at the time, maybe a little less because of mortgage inquiries.
After I closed on the mortgage April of this year, I reapplied for the PRG because of the 3x miles on airfare. Again, scores were about the same, perhaps a few points lower because of appearance of new mortgage and inquiries.
