Amex serve account suspended pending mailing address verification

I got the following email from American Express today:

I have no utility bill's that show my on campus address since I live on a college campus the bill for rent and utilities is sent to my home address. Also all my bank accounts are setup for e-statements.

This happened to me as well, and I had also just moved to my new student apartment. 

I faxed them a copy of my driver's license (with a different address on it than the one I put on my account) and they unlocked it. I think it is more about you just proving it is in fact you, rather than confirming your address. Also if you get E-statements on your bank accounts you can just change your address and they will show up on the next E-statement and then you can fax it over. 

Also if you don't have a fax machine, (they won't accept an emailed attachment or anything else other than a fax) I had to use a free online faxing service, but it did in fact work

 I tryed sending them a fax of my driver's liscnse but they did not accept it, but at least it bought me some time:

@Anonymous up customer service, and tell them you're a college student, and you just want to change the address on your account to your home address instead of your @ school address. That is what I did, I faxed over my drivers license with my home address, they unlocked me, but my card still ended up being sent to my school address. 

Their customer service is REALLY nice, and they actually put me on a 3 way call with the department who handles the addresses and stuff and got everything worked out.

I had my account for a while. I actually just started using it. I added 1 subaccount about a month ago that use the card for $11. I sent no more than $200 since I've had the card and made no ATM withdrawals and (I think ) 2  ACH transfers (under $200 total) back to my bank account.  I got this email:

Kinda where considering I have 3 accounts with them ....personal charge, business charge, and prepaid card. For crying out loud they did a FR on me in Jan. Clearly, they do not share information for cross marketing like I once thought. I guess that's a good thing.

depending on what bank you have you should be able to go in the branch and request a statement right there 

have them fax it to the number. 

i do this ALL the time for people.
