Amex shipping

I was approved for the blue sky amex card. I got the email saying approved and allow 2-3 business days for my card to arrive. That was on Sept 3rd. Now it's Sept 5th, and I got another email saying my card has shipped. So has it already shipped? Or is it 2-3 days after we finish setting up your account. Or maybe the system is late when sending the email that it's actually been shipped.

Amex's online and email updates on shipping usually lags what is actually happening.  Kind of like reading yesterday's newspaper.

You should receive your card on Tuesday!

Shipping with amex is random, at best. 

My "Your card has shipped email" came hours after I received my card.
