While I was app spreeing last month I attempted to open a Amex Blue Cash. I was denied due to too many inquiries. I applied for them late in my spree so I understand. Based on what I read on these forums it becomes easier to get approved if you have an existing relationship with Amex. I was able to get approved for a Bank of America Accelerated Rewards Amex. Does this establish a relationship with Amex or just Bank of America?

Just with BoA

Just BoA. It uses the AMEX network, but it's just a branded BoA card. It will not get you a relationship started with them. I have the USAA Amex card and thought the same thing myself.

Shoot! Well that is the only reason I got the card.
Guess its time to add a Zync to my wallet.
