Amex

Hi all,
I've been reading post here for a while and just want to say great forum!! People are awesome and very helpful. Anyway about 13 years ago I had a Amex gold card and got into some trouble. I had a 12000ish bal and I settled for 8000 does Amex keep track of that? Or since its been so long maybe I have a chance? Any info would be helpful

Amex has a VERY VERY long memory. But there have been posts here where people have gotten back in with Amex after situations like yours. YMMV.

Re: Amex

Years ago they had a loooooooooooong memory, and were completely unforgiving.  Of late, their memory is still long, but they seem to be willing to give some people a second chance.

Re: Amex

Not sure on that. I have freecreditreport.com my fako score was 697 yesterday. In the last 3 months I've had a new mortgage report, and 2 cc. My ex went up 13 points. And Eq went from 751 to 712. Tu 705 to 695
