Angry at GE/Belk

Got my letter today - got a straight decline because they were unable to verify my identity (what?).

Called credit solutions and talked to 2 CSRs and a supervisor... They won't recon or take off the hard pull.

Unfair or what?

You dont have a Fraud Alert on your account or anything to block your identity from being pulled up right? Also you did enter your correct SSN and Info right? I know its a stupid question but i work at store where we sell credit cards and if the info entered isnt correct it will come up declined vs approved.

Lexie - called them when I got the letter. They said I needed to call within 72 hours to reconsider... But I was told to wait for the letter at the counter!

Skye - I'm 99.9 sure I entered my SN correctly and verified it with the clerk...

When it comes to GE, they do not recon. Sorry, you were told to wait for a letter

That's an absolute tragedy. So I suffered the HP for nothing? I can understand no recons for credit issues... But identity? Eh

A credit freeze, security freeze, a fraud alert or an intial fraud alert could have done that. You shouldn't be angry at Belk. You should be angry as the a holes at TransUnion. My report has been frozen for over 60 days and it looks like I am going to have to sue in small claims court to get it removed.
