Ann Taylor Loft Card to M/C

Hi guys!  I am new here and am learning so much already from you all. 

Quick question-- I have an Ann Taylor card and decided to upgrade to their Mastercard.  After applying I got the 7 days message.  I decided to call only to be told these type of accounts must be decided and notifed by mail.

Anyone else familiar with this?

Something like this happened to me a long time ago with a comenity account. I ended up with two of the same account and they ended up closing both accounts
