Annual fee billed of $0.0

My US Bank Cash+ has this item on the statement: Annual membership fee - $0.00. Why even bill a fee if it's a non-AF card? Wondering if this is just my Cash+, or do other people's show this?

Mine shows it as well.  This is simply an AF disclaimer for most of their cards, even those that have $0 AF.  My Kroger Visa also has the same footnote, yet it's never had an AF.

Citibank has done the same with my no-AF cards.

Same. My Dividend card has that Emergency Protection Service and every statement it shows a $0 Annual Fee. My assumption is that they're required to do it for certain things even if there's no fee.

It's a CYA tactic. It gives them an easy out if they ever decide to charge an AF. It's a lot easier to argue a change in the amount rather than to institute a new fee altogether.
