Another Amex Account

Is there a certain amount of time from when being approved for an Amex that you can be approved for another? After looking at charts on another post, it would appear apping for the BCP would benefit me more than the BCE I got last month. I assume you can have both the BCE and the BCP. I will close the BCE and move the line after its been a year old.

best to give them a call, In the past it was required to be a new application because you are going from  no Af to an AF which is taboo under the new credit laws, they may require you to cancel the current card and AP for a the new one, with no guarantee you will get approved. or wait 13 months to PC to the BCP.  If you just AP for BCP without canceling the BCE they may cancel it as a duplicate, but call and talk to an expert. 

if they won't PC the card, it may be best to go for a Sallie Mae card untill you can PC the BCE card.
