My wife and I joined NFCU 2 weeks ago, and made our minumum opening deposits
for checking and savings. We were discharged from Bk7 three weeks ago. Our goal was to get a credit card through them.
Since we were fresh from Bk7, we were ready to open up a secured card.
On a whim, we decided to apply for the nRewards card to see if they were really Bk friendly.
Well, the process took 2 days, and on the 1st day, they asked for both paystubs. I was sweating bullets
for a decision cause I knew we were getting denied due to our 3 weeks old bankruptcy.
Lo and behold, I logged on NFCU banking website and I see that we were approved for 500 bucks!!!
The interest sucks of course, it's around 17.99 but we will take it!! Despite the low limit, we
are very happy that we got our foot in without a security deposit.
All in all, NFCU is very Bk friendly!!! Most credit union will want a good post 2 years before applying, but
NFCU thought our 3 weeks was good!! For that reason, that's a miracle!!
