Which of their cards is the easiest approval? I assumed they were listed in easiest-hardest to get order, but this evening I noticed the secured card is in the middle of the list, so now I don't know. Is it the cashRewards or the nRewards?
I'm not apping anytime soon. I'm fresh out of bk and will wait until either this summer or November to apply, depending on how my scores do with my new rebuilder cards.
I applied for the NRewards and was approved a month post bankruptcy. Then I has asked to switch to the cashrewards which was granted.
The cashrewards is better because you can apply your rewards to your statement or deposit it in your checking or savings. The NRewards you have to use your rewards to redeem for merchandise or gift cards.
Well the eventual goal is to have one MC and one Visa, one of which is a cashRewards and one nRewards. Also a Navchek for the trifecta.
If you don't mind me asking, what was your score when you were first approved?
My score was around 602 with a recent bk7. I've seen people with scores in the upper 500s getting approved.
That is, if there's no bankruptcy reporting. If there is, then scores need to be at starting 600's.

At what point did you app for and get the LOC through NFCU? Do you remember what your score was?
Bump because I'm interested in responses to scupra's question too.
I was approved for NavChek a week ago with a 563 EQ score (limit 2k, but I asked for just that much). They had just denied my app for the cashRewards card (asked for the same CL) three weeks ago with a 554 EQ score (only difference in reports was some lowered UTIL and some baddies aging).
BTW, NFCU does get the direct deposit of my paycheck (I gross 63k/yr), and they just started a special promotion for government civilians who will be subject to to furloughs (such as myself) -- 3.00% APR until June -- so those factors may have helped me get approved.
I got the CashRewards card first and then two weeks later got the Flagship Signature
