I have my walmart credit card since sept '11 with starting credit of $600. I have been getting auto CL increase to 1000, 1600, and now, $2900.

My balance is $300.

My question is why am I not getting upgrade to discover yet?

I heard the minimum was 1 year.

Your just at the year mark now. And its also based on your overall credit score. You could call and ask for a PC

At the Walmart Credit card site, my FICO is 699.

I'd say bc it hasn't been long enough. I got GE upgrades exacty two years after having accounts always paid on time, though not always in full. Be sure to have your acct balance at 0 the 24th month you have it open. Got both of my upgrades that way....your current scores matter too, mine were 670'ish when I was upgraded. Also, pay more than the min pmt.

Mine just auto cli to 2200 and have had it 2.2 years! Can I call to PC?

How often does Walmart auto CLI? And is it better to let it do that or call every 4-5 months?

Seems like every 3 months for me: 600, 800, 1600, 2900.

No luck on the Discover upgrade yet.

I recently tried to get them to bump up my limit after just receiveing my card. I was denied. The letter said it was because of my lack of history with the current credit line of $600.00. Now it's time to let it grow on it's own.  Maybe it will be in the $1500. - $2000. range by this time next year.
