DW has a Barclay's B&N card that started out at $15K two and a half years ago. She has has had 3 CLIs in that time: 15-16K when I asked about a year ago, 16-19K late last year year and 19-22K this week
Nice!
What are your wife's spending and payment habits with Barclays?
Until recently we hardly ever used it - maybe once every couple of months for a book. But the last couple of months we used about 60% of the CL (putting the payments for the new deck through the card to buy books )
I need a new deck. Would you be interested in helping out?
Congrats again on your golden goose card!

Well, as soon as the bill comes in, I will pay it with this card and start buying books with the reward points
Plus "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: The Complete Radio Series (Box Set)" - all 15 hours of it
Im hoping they are as sincere with me as they are with you. I use me Barclay card (Virgin America) for EVERYTHING, and then pay it off in full weekly. So far I have not had the good fortune of being granted a CLI (though my scores should warrant one, I just dont want a INQ at this time), however I was told that over time Barclay is very good with handing out CLIs if you play by their rules.
It took about 18 months to two years, but since then the CLIs seem to come at odd intervals.
I have not had an auto CLI from anyone else in the last 5 years!!

What are Barclays's rules?
Pay your bill on time, etc. The normal rules.
I have piffed every month on both cards except once where I screwed up and didn't pay the full balance (NOT LATE).
On one of them I use it all the time I often pay twice and sometimes three time a month.
On the other (the biggie) I just pay every monnth.
I don't worry about the balance that reports - I just use the card
