I'm 20, just got approved for Chase freedom yesterday $750, I have two 30 day lates from 2 years ago. One collection only on TU. Didn't get the Amex though. Check Sig for scores, AAoA 10 months, oldest almost 2 years.
(Income is 40k base, 52k with contract OT)
I'm 19 and I have cards with Chase, Discover, Citi, and Amex.
The cards and my current scores are in my sig. I think I had a score in the high 600s when I got the Chase and Discover cards. For Amex and Citi, I was in the low 700s, somewhere near what I have now. My reported income is around 32k/year.
20, my cards in sig. Before september 2012, only card was the chase+1 that ive had since aug 2010. What progress ive made!

so it's totally possible to get a prime card at the age of 19 especially if you were on your parents cards as an AU.
18: My mom got me a Capital One Platinum with $500 limit
I didn't care about credit cards at the time but I'm thankful she got it for me and said I needed it. PIF every month.
21: 3 cars have been paid off by now. TU was in the 790s. Obtained Amex BCE, Chase Freedom, Barclay Sallie Mae Mastercard (with recon).
