Any luck reinstating credit limit after an automatic reduction???

Has anyone had any luck getting their credit limit reinstated after an automatic reduction?  Particularly with Citibank?  They just reduced my husbands credit limit again on his Sears Mastercard - 2nd time in 5 months - after we were making some progress paying it down!!  He's been a good customer for well over a year now - no lates, never over 50% util (until they reduced his limit!!)  Wondering if it's worth a phone call to try to get it reinstated.....

I have heard Sears was reducing a lot of peoples cl to lesson there exposure.  I always think it's worth a call but don't take it personal if you get a no.
