To add, be careful with discover site. Once you get the recommended offers, scroll down and click on "see all offers" then you should see a line reading something like "you are pre qualified"

It'd be nice if it said that.  In my case, it's always "We were unable to pre-approve you based on the information provided."    Not really looking for a Discover card right now anyway.  But I do check it occasionally just to have an idea of whether I would be approved.

Yes all softs, until you actually app for the card then it is a hard.
