Re: Any thoughts on the Amex Prepaid?

I was thrilled to be approved and got he 12 months 0% and this card has no AF. My first prime card in (post rebuilding) with such a CL.

Needless to say, I have used it just paid it off. The CSR said to call in December and they could try to do a CLI. Overall, great service.

Any of you guys (or gals) think Amex's prepaid card will help build a relationship with them? I'm not much into prepaid cards, but would like to one day obtain an American Express card (preferably the Hilton HHonors) as I to use their hotels a lot.

No credit pull involved so it's doubtful.

And I'm not sure if a prepaid card is that much different than a gift card (assuming you can charge the balance on a gift card when it gets low and in that case reuse it.)

Yeah, I kind of figured as much. I was checking to see if there might be any benefit for this card. I'm looking for any little "in" with Amex. My credit scores are not quite high enough (EQ FICO-698,, TU FICO 708).

Wow...I'd think you would be good for an AMEX Zync with those scores if your EX is anywhere near as high as the others.

In my wallet: Apple $5,000, local CU $15,000, Bread AMEX $5,000. In my sock drawer: A few other cards Smiley Happy

Current scores (EQ, EX, TU): 787, 788, 796
