Discover started me out at $500 and gave me automatic CLIs of $150 in September and again in January. I asked for an increase online a couple weeks ago and they said no. The letter said that I didn't have enough experience at my current limit. They've never used a hard pull on my CLIs, so I hope my chances of an increase in April (another three months) weren't hurt by my online request.
I've read that Discover is more likely to increase your line if you use the card a lot. Is there any truth to this? I usually charge up to my limit every month but pay off most of it before the statement closes, that way less than 10% reports. Am I doing the right thing?

9 month old account but still no dice
Not me because they wanted to do a HP - I'll just sit on my $11k CL and not worry about it - BUT Comenity finally said "we don't hate you THAT much" and popped my Total Rewards up to $7600 this afternoon, so it's a good day
Sweet! Just tried it and got a SP $500 CLI. Discover has been good to me. Great starting limit and a CLI already. I do use the card a lot...Near CL balances. So perhaps use really does play a roll in CLI from Discover.
$500 SP CLI to $2000... had the card 3 months.
Got denied for SP. I was hoping paying off a BT last week would help, but I guess not.

Didn't get denied or approved...got "your request for credit line increase has been submitted" not sure if it's a good or bad sign

went from $1500 beginning of Jan, to $6500 right now.
