Yes many has closed this card.  I closed mines through my credit union, it served it purpose and I moved on.

I closed mine last year when I realized I had not used it (other than paying the AF) in well over a year.

The CSR told me it would take upto 60 days to get the deposit back but it took about 2 weeks for the check to show up.

I closed mine after having it for two years.  I received a check in the mail within two weeks if memory serves.

I closed mine and received the deposit back in a week or two.

They refunded my deposit 2 weeks on the nose, but my refunded AF took almost 2 months.

Yes close it. Especially if it has an af and you have moved on to better cards.
