Anyone gone from $1k to $3K to $9K to $25K with the Amex 3x CLI?

I don't think my $40K income supports it, and I typically only put about $500 through my Amex monthly; but I'm about to pull the trigger on my 3rd 3X CLI next week.  

My FAKOs range from 747 to 763.  My AAoA is just under 1 year, but I recently cancelled my oldest line ($500 secured card with a $20AF) and picked up a CSP last month.  Definitely hoping to see Amex give me my first five digit credit limit, but hoping to see them counter with more than a $1K increase.  Anyone with experience or thoughts on my chances?  

My cards currently look like this:

Amex BCE $9K

CSP $8K

CS $5K (hoping to PC to Freedom in November)

Discover IT $2K

Will probably try to move $2k from my Sapphire to my Sapphire Preferred and see if I can get a soft pull CLI on my IT next week as well, and then stop pestering my creditors for a while.  Okay I might ask Amex to give me the EMV card but THEN I'll stop pestering them.

Started at 5K but did not feel comfortable to ask for 15K at 61days and did only 2 x to 10K and 180 days later went to 25K ...not that I needed any more than 10K but got infected here and curious to try it out .... and to my big shock it worked.

Yeah it feels weird asking for that type of limit, but I assume thre is nothing to lose by requesting.  Would love to see a $20K counter, but not expecting it.  They have never told me no before so we shall see.

Good luck and let us know ... now with other cards above 5K the 25K feels like normal to me....it is easy to get used to these figures..lol... as long as I do not need to pay 25K..ha ha

My BCE started at 1K. I whined about it on the board, but someone told me to just be patient. In just 8 months it's up to 9K and I fully expect to hit 24.5K in the next 6 months.

I've gone from 1k to 20.6k, with a few auto cli's along the way. Opened card November-ish 2012.

1. Are these 3x CLIs hp or sp

2. best utilization to get an auto cli? 5%,10% or 30% and PIF?

The CLIs are soft.  See the difinitive 3x guide thread for details.  You don't want an auto increase IMO.  You want the opportunity to request the full 3x when eligible because you can only receive an increse so often.

The auto CLI I received did not impact my ability to request a 3x cli at 61 days or 6 months. If anything it helped by increasing my baseline CL allowing the 3x cli to be more ' valuable '.
