I have a Best Buy store card. I got it back in August...applied in store. (illinois) The store rep told me as I was filling out the app, that they (best buy) would run my name through HSBC and Chase. I don't know if I got denied for HSBC or what, but I was approved through Chase. I also had two subsequent inquiries (TU) show up the following month, (chase and hsbc) so be aware of that if considering applying.
