Are these personal checks for your CC?
No catch; i've been getting them every month with my monthly statement for the past 3 years or so and used it about 3 times. it's good for 14 month interest free loans, just have to pay the 3% charge but i wouldn't call it a "catch"
3% is a deal breaker.

money is not loaned for free. What you get for a BT is effectively a 3% loan. Pay the fee up front, when your statement cuts. Deal breaker? Not really.

I got 4 checks with 0% APR for 1 year and 2 years. What's the catch?
As always, read the terms. Your checks came with them.
Why pay 3% up front to balance transfer? 3% up front is like 3 months worth of accrued interest on a 12% card. Get a new card with 0% interest and just pay off card with interest - load new card with charges.

I used the 1% check for one year.

Not everyone wants to get new card.
