Re: App Spree Levels

I'm the exact opposite.  I always see posts named "app spree" here and click on it only to find they applied for two cards.  These actually annoy me, because I'm expecting something more substantial.  I like to see numerous cards applied for, the reasons you app'd for each card, approval/denial/limits...actual helpful information for anyone else who might be planning a spree of their own.  Normally it's just a guy who randomly app'd for some card he'd been wanting for a while, and then gets a rush off an approval and apps for the next thing he sees.

You see, I'm planning my own app spree in Jan.  It will likely be six cards.  I already made a wish list of cards I want, and each has a specific reason for me getting it.  I narrowed that list down to the exact six I'll app for, but that will of course change over the next couple of months.  I know the sign up bonuses, the terms of each to get the bonus, and how I'll meet those terms.  I know which CR each bank is likely to pull.  I know which order I should do them in based off this and how sensitive they are to Inq's.  I know exactly what my AAoA will be after six new accounts report, including backdating an Amex...which is why I'm waiting until Jan.  I know what all my scores are, and likely will be when I app.  This is a game to me, but one I take seriously.  My credit is something I worked hard to build up.  But it's also something that is wasted if I don't take advantage of the benefits.

You are right about something though.  The average consumer doesn't think about this.  My friends think I'm nutty since I can't even carry all my cards in my wallet.  Average consumers don't come and post on credit forums (let alone many different ones like I do).  But this is one of my hobbies.  I enjoy it.  I get great rewards from it.  And Monday Night Football was boring, so...yeah.

Re: App Spree Levels

I've never had a real app spree...ROFL. I usually wait like days/weeks after an app to app again. Usually a denial will stop me.

As of 2017, rebuilding...
