Recon = reconsideration of your application from a credit analyst rather than just a computer decision.
There is a thread here in this forum with a list of numbers - "Backdoor Numbers"; call your lenders and request the status and possibly a manual review (if the status is denied). Be prepared to speak to things like inquiries, length of history (or lack thereof), late payments, etc. Be polite and courteous as it will go a long way.
