Went into the US Bank and applied for the Cash+ card. I had been eyeing this card for a while to handle bonus categories when they are not on Discover or Freedom. Was approved on the spot for. $15k CL. I had read on the boards that they made you wait, but apparently it is a YMMV thing. I am very excited. My CC portfolio is one card richer!
Woooo Hoooo Congrats on the card and a great limit
Congrats on the card and the awesome CL!
Congrats great CL
You're a bit too late.. game's over.

How do you mean? Are the rewards getting nerfed?

The following has happened or is about to happen:
1) Removal of key categories for 5%, in particular bill pay, but also Home Improvement and Air fare
2) Cap on rewards, from unlimited to $2K per quarter (now for new users, July for everyone else)
3) Removal of banking relationship bonuses (Aug)
So if you had the card before, now it looks much worse. But without that history, it may still be a good card, depending on your spend and on your other cards.
e.g. you can select restaurants and bookstores to get 5% (and bookstores includes Amazon). Currently not that exciting if you have e.g. Citi Forward, but that card is probably going to change as well.
There is still something to be said for a card with 5% categories that you can choose (as compared to Freedom/IT for example), providing those categories are useful! And while a $2k cap is a reduction from uncapped (!), it is bigger than the $1,500 per quarter on Freedom and IT.
So w20031424 is right in that the best times are behind this card, but it might still be useful for the OP.
Edit: Forgot key nerf 4: Reduction of $25 bonus on $100 redemption to once a year only, starting July.

It's a nice card

Bit too late for what?
Sure, the card has been nerfed in many ways.
But for a card that has no AF, its rewards structure is still much better compared to other cards such as those offered by CapitalOne, Barclays, GE, Premier One or other store cards. Can't exactly complain when they're pretty much giving people free money back, especially for necessary expenditures.

I knew that changes were made to the reward structure before I apped. I see it as $425+ in my pocket. I will use restaurant category when I can't use Freedom or Discover. I think I will be happy with it. It can also fill the gap when BCP maxes out the $6000 for groceries and I will get 2% instead of 1%.
Now that's crunching numbers WTG makes good sense to me
