Re: Apple Barclaycard

So after seeing that this was a good card for people right out of BK I decided to apply. I have never filed for BK. I have several baddies from 2006-2007 but a perfect history since and several cards in good standing and about 50% utilization. I was shocked that I was denied. In 2006 I burned Barklays is that perhaps why?

I don't know but considering the low FICO's people are getting approvals with for this card it was suspiring.

My TU Fico is 620, EQ is 630

Re: Apple Barclaycard

The same FICO with BK ad without BK is not the same for lenders, they usually don't like a BK on your CR, and on top of that you burned them in 2006 it might have been a factor on thier denial.

Re: Apple Barclaycard

I never have filed for BK or have a BK on my CR, but when I called they said they were denying due to high balances. The rep said they like to see under 30% utilization. I'm at 60 if you look at all my cards. So maybe ill try again in 6mos

@totallymytravis

When you say you burned Barclays, was it a CO? Also, its always best to app when your util is less than 20%

Re: Apple Barclaycard

Yeah 0% APR is nice and all, but its going to hurt your Utilization, if your going to end up maxing it out and being able to pay it off over the 3 months, dont go out applying for more cards until you have had a Utilization less than 30% for at least 6 - 12 months.

Wallet: Chase Freedom, CSP, Discover IT

9/7/14 TU: 700. All goal cards achieved! :smileyhappy: Score is only a number, its the profile that matters. However i will try to achieve 750+
