I was over at the Gardening Club and after reading some of the troubles of app addiction and desires. I figured we should set up a place where those that have the desire to itch can come in and seek counseling
, weep
, etc. This way app fever is contained and not mixed in with those tending to their garden. I believe Appbar Sr. would love this thread

There's a thread called the "App Dungeon" or something similar that will suit your purposes.

Isn't the "App Dungeon" after you were suppose to garden and apped anyways... This is suppose to be before you app and contain the spread so other gardeners don't have squashed fruits, plants, etc.

Well, that was kind of the reason for having "anti-itch meds" in the Garden Club supply cabinet, as well as having added a "freezer" for those who feel the need to freeze their reports.
Folks in the Garden Club thread are welcome to talk about app itch if they are truly looking for support in dealing with it. We DO want to be supportive of that factor, as it does come up from time to time when people are in gardening mode. But, if people are simply looking for justification to go ahead and app while in gardening mode, then the GC thread probably isn't the best place.
I just wanted to clarify this so that folks that are in the former category aren't scared off from participating in the GC thread.

Have you seen the contamination that caused! Maybe better lotions and stronger itch cream is warranted![]()

Yes, and to back up that thought, let me post part of the opening statement on the monthly thread:
"Come on in and make yourself comfortable. Make a gardening plan and commit to sticking with it. Are you planning to wait six months before applying for additional credit? A year? Until the last of your baddies drop off? Whatever your goal, we're here to support you. If you feel the 'app-itch' coming on, let us know and we'll try to help you through it."

I will always say...FICO should ditch inquiries all together.
(Unfortunely they won't since it is needed as a factor of "seekers") At the very least maybe re-work the formula to not penalize credit card applications within a short time. Similar to auto and mortgage loans...after all some people shop for the best interest rates on cards and credit lines.

Trying to avoid apping for Chase Freedom...
I don't need it in any way shape or form... but I want those 5% bonuses (even though the cap bites)
What is that? We have vodka in the garden? Back I go...
Amex Accelerated Cash Rewards. BankAmericard Privileges with Travel Rewards. Amex Blue Cash Preferred. Chase Sapphire Preferred.
Now gardening until 2013. I assume gardening is a metaphor, like "book clubs" where all you do is drink wine.
