If I got auto-rejection, can I call recon line to get approval? I just got a pre-approval email about this offer, that's why I plan to try. I currently have three chase credit cards. Chase amazon 1.5K, Chase Sapphire Preffered 10K, and Chase Ink Bold, which can not carry any balance. Is this considered as "too many" accounts?

Yup, you can always call recon. Does your email offer have an expiration date? I would try and wait it out a bit if you can. 3 accounts is by no means too many (I have 7 myself at JPMC), but 3 within a month will likely raise a red flag.

This email showed the offer will expire on July 31st  2013. I just do not want to miss this bonus offer. But it looks like I should wait for next chance. Thank you guys~

If the HP doesn't bother you, you might as well give it a shot, but I'd wait until the end of July to submit the app. Keep your utilization low and all that as well of course.

Having 3 Chase cards is not too much. Others report having up to 7 total personal/business cards. However, it is possible to have too much overall credit with them. How much are your credit lines with them?

No, but having 3 Chase cards within 1 month might be too much. I faced resistance for getting 3 cards within a year, and I have a deep relationship with JPMC. Aggregate credit is a seperate issue as well, and at some point (usually around 6-9 cards) they start asking you to close down other cards in order to open a new one.

I would have to agree with you. 3 applications in a month, and a rejection only 3 months removed carries a sizable risk for denial. Waiting at this point is probably a good idea.

Cambium, this offer has been ongoing for a while. For people who didn't get this offer, they could email chase after they got approved and chase was willing to match the offer as well. So in a way you are not exactly missing out on a "limited time deal".

I have to agree with bibro. 3 chase credit cards in a month is too many. You might get approved, but there's always a higher risk of getting AA as well whenever an individual goes on a spree with the same lender. There have been several examples on this forums where individuals had all their accounts with that lender closed because they put in too many apps than what the lender would have liked.

+1. I can't think of anything that hasn't already been said.
