Okay, so my lowest score is a 703 EQ. My other scores should be close to accurate below except I've got a couple more inquiries from getting my mortgage. The Loan has not hit my CR yet and when it does I am afraid my scores will tumble 10-15 points. I don't have an installment loan or student loan, just two revolving credit cards so it will help my credit mix, but I think overall the new account will hurt me more than help in the first month. My goal is to get an Amex Zync, Amex Delta, Discover More and a CLI on my Slate or even better PC to Freedom. The only negative on any of my reports is a 30 day late in November of 2010 on my car loan that was paid off. I have 9 inquiries in 2 years, 2 of them are from sprint counted as one, and another 3 of them are from my mortgage counted as one so technically I have 6 on Equifax. Experian has 5 Inq's, but again 3 are from the mortgage so technically 3 and TU is 3 but all counted as 1. Since my EQ score is a bit low, should I freeze it and make them pull TU? Would that help? And does anyone know if Amex checks Chexsystems? I have a PAID chexsystems entry from a few years back and I know they check teletrak but I don't have anything there AFAIK.
What do you guys think? I have 5 installment accounts int he past, only the most recent one with any negatives, one close revolving line paid as agreed and two open revolving cards paid as agreed. AAoA is 4 years 4 months, my Utilization is 1% and credit history is 7 years 11 months. Only negative is one installment loan, 4 late payments in total, worst is 30 days late, only 1 in the last 12 months, in 1 more month it will be 12 months but my Mortgage will likely hit by then brining down my scores. I also don't want to get caught up with them saying they dont' see the mortgage after all the inquiries but I can recon that right?
Here is my tradeline for my one negative installment loan.

Discover has a pre-qualify link if you go their website. Amex also has a link to "see my offers" they both perform "soft pulls"... IME if they didnt have a "prequalify" product I would wait a couple weeks and try again until some kind of "offer" for you....thats what I did and they both worked out for me with a slightly higher score of 718 along with 1% utilization across 8 tradelines... good luck

I don't think they do a soft pull, because they only ask for the last 4 of your social. I think they just look through their database for any existing offers.
Maybe its a case by case basis.... BOTH amex and discover were in the softpulls section of MY credit reports.. then a hard pull when I actually applied and was approved
Well, I think its because they softpulled you for some other reason, probably not as a direct result of your inquiry at their special offers site. I doubt its possible to do a soft pull when you don't have someone's full social security number.
Anyone else?
I did the pre-approval with both AMEX and Discover. They are soft-pulled and it only when I applied for them was when they were hard pulled. I was approved for both, Discover $5K and Amex Zync, and Capitol 1 $2K. The verdict is out on Citi Plat Select MC. Chase Marriott declined me due to high utilization on my Dell and Mil Star. Will be doing a balance xfer of my Dell 25.99% to Discover 0% for 15 months today.

Wow...approved for Discover with 632 EQ, 686 TU FICOs? Congrats!
You give me hope...I'm currently sitting at 634 EQ and 654 TU (both FICOs)...of course, I also have a BK from 2009
Well, I had a CO from 2008, in which I just had removed 3 weeks ago. As for BK, just don't applied for AMEX. They will shoot you out the sky on a clear day. As for Discovery or Cap1, I say give them a try, but I too is in the re-building phase. I am no experts. maybe other will chime in...
I don't see any place to do a pre-approval where they pull and require your entire social security number. Its impossible to match someone's last 4 digits to their name and pull their credit report... That makes no sense. If i'm missing the site, please point me in the right direction.
