Apply to have Chase Freedom reopened after I closed it?

Hello Everyone,

I closed my Chase Freedom approximately two months ago because I was unhappy with the credit limit and interest rates, but the more I think about it, I think I may have made a mistake. I called customer service, and they said that they could apply to have the account reopened. Does anyone know if this involves a hard credit pull?

Thanks!

I have never heard of this practice, but if I know Chase, it will surely be a HP.

Re: Apply to have Chase Freedom reopened after I closed it?

You have 30 days to reinstate without HP.

You should just reapply instead (if CR is better than it was), and hopefully get a better APR / CL.

Like others have said, you should just reapply.

However if nothing much has changed since then, you will most likely still get a similar CL and APR, so be mentally prepared for that.
