Applying for PenFed

After hearing about it here, I tried to apply for PenFed by becoming a member of MOAA. It said they couldn't process my application. Any ideas?

Re: Applying for PenFed

Did you join as part of the app process and fund the minimum $5 account or did you join MOAA separate form the app process?  The reason I ask is they have a process where you can join, fund and apply all in one process.

Re: Applying for PenFed

I don't know anything about the MOAA, beyond the fact that it's a qualifying organization for Penfed.

There are a variety of other ways of qualifying.  In my case, I made a donation to the American Red Cross and then joined.

Re: Applying for PenFed

I did MOAA separately. Maybe I'll call them tomorrow and see if it's bing reviewed, or if I was turned down. I think it would be a great relationship to develop.
