No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Don't bother calling, what's done is done. Use it responsibly for six months and call for a CLI.
like android said, $1500 is perfect for you now. Remember 35% of your score is payments and if I remember 30% utilization, plus another 15% length of history (age of accounts), these are the 3 biggest factors affecting your score. Make your payments on time, do not max out your cards and as these cards get older your score will become more solid.

13,000 is the credit limit now. The credit limit more than meets my needs so I do not plan on asking for a CLI. I can make statment for my other credit cards as well. If they want auto increase it thats fine. In my close to 30 years of credit history I have asked for a CLI 5 or 6 times in that time span.
Yeahhhh..that's great CL.... My highest CL right now is Alliant....5000cl.....just got it...I hoe this opens doors for higher limits in the future.....have a bk from 2005 still reporting...

Thanks for the advice dudes really appreciate it. I a don't want to end up like someone who messed up their credit when they where young
Fantastic! Just the fact that you found this site and asked for advice gives you a much better chance of NOT following the same path that many of us followed when we were young. These forums are filled with those who made the mistakes that you are educating yourself to avoid. You're doing great, kid! Congrats!

I wish this forum had been around in 2001 when I turned 18...I'd probably have an 800 score! hahah
I turned 18 in the 80s, I bet my score never made it over 700 until after 2000. They say ignorance is bliss, well I remember what it pain it was trying to get credit when I bet my score was under 600. It was not bliss!
They do say knowledge is power and the knowledge I have gained here and elsewhere has drastically improved my quality of life
