Just thought I would tell everyone theres a new bank that was just formed by Nationwide called Nationwide Bank
and they are offering credit cards at low interest rates and very generous CL's. I just applied for one yesterday
and got an email back saying I was approved for a Nationwide Bank Visa card with a 0% fixed APR and then 7.24% APR thereafter. They gave me an inital CL of 17.5K with only a 702 EFX score and 79K/yr Income. They pulled Equifax for my app.
They also offer a business credit card and I applied for that card as well but know status update yet on that one.
There website is : http://www.nationwide.com/credit-card.jsp
The business credit card link is : http://www.nationwide.com/business-credit-card.jsp
Did they only pull EQ?
Did you have any other Nationwide relationships (insurance, etc)?
How many recent accounts or inquiries prior to this application?
What does your AAoA, utilization and balances look like?
Thanks for the info....many will be interested
Hi, txjohn
Yes they only pulled EFX for me. I did not have any prior Nationwide relationships. I had 3 INQ's on my EFX report when I applied. My Beacon score was 702. My Average age of accounts is 39 months. No recent new accounts showing on my EFX report, but I was recently within the last few weeks approved for a USAA Amex, Chase Visa, and a UPBC Line of Credit. My wife also applied for this Natonwide Visa card about two months ago and was approved for a card as well but her CL was 12K (Her FICO was 692 & 54K/yr income).
Thanks for the info OP!
Not sure what I was thinking...hit the submit button and got the dreaded under review.15 days message..Drats!.
No more apps for me until 2012. And I'm busting out of the gates with 2 amex apps...will need the reaging prior to the app spree soon to follow....

Follow up questions: Do you have a mortgage on CR? If so, how old? Do you have an auto? How old? Lastly, what was your highest CL (cc) prior to your Nationwide app?
Quick update for those in NJ: Nationwide pulled TU for me.

Keep us posted - those 0% offers are really enticing...
I just app'ed and got the 15 day message. TU is 797 and EQ is 794. 55k/yr income. Prior to this, 2 inq on EQ and no inq on TU. Average age is 9 years on TU and 6 years on EQ. Highest CL is $2500.
I should know tomorrow who Nationwide pulled and will post it FYI.
